Burlington & Halton pilot · Neighbour-to-neighbour mutual aid
Someone near you needs a hand. Someone near you has one.
Angel Circle connects neighbours who need groceries, a winter coat or a ride with Angels close by who can help. A Guardian Angel checks every match, and no money ever changes hands.
Free for everyone. You don't need to prove financial hardship to ask.
No money, ever
We focus on goods and time, with every match reviewed by a Guardian Angel. Asking for or sending money isn't allowed here.
Your name stays private
Angels see a summary, never your name or address, until a Guardian Angel introduces you.
A real person checks every match
Angels confirm who they are on a call before they're matched. Guardian Angels have met someone from the team in person.
Mutual aid, not charity
Today you might need an Angel. Tomorrow you might be one.
We all need different kinds of help at different times. You can ask, offer, or do both. There's no obligation to give back.
How people take part
Four ways to be someone's Angel
Each role has its own check, so the people closest to someone's situation are the people we know best.
- Angel Everyday neighbours
- Give what you can: a bag of groceries, a spare crib, an afternoon of shovelling.
- Take the pledge, then confirm your identity on a short video call.
- Service Angel Licensed professionals
- Therapists, lawyers, mechanics and trades offering free or low-cost hours.
- We check your licence with your regulator.
- Corporate Angel Local businesses
- Businesses donating surplus food, products or services.
- We confirm the business. You get a public thank-you.
- Guardian Angel Area coordinators
- Local volunteers who review requests, verify Angels and make every match.
- Meet someone from the team in person first.
