Angel Circle

How it works

Angel Circle is a small set of rules that make it safe for strangers to help each other.

If you need help

  • Sign in with your email and tell us your city and the first three characters of your postal code. We never ask for your full address.
  • Describe what would help. Be specific: “Winter boots, kids' size 2” gets matched faster than “clothes”.
  • A Guardian Angel reads your request, may message you with a question, then posts a short summary without your name.
  • When an Angel offers, the Guardian Angel introduces you in a private conversation. Agree on a public place or a drop-off spot.
  • When help arrives, mark it as done and leave a vouch if you'd like.

You can have up to three requests open at a time. Requests close after 30 days so the board stays current.

If you want to help

  • Take the Angel pledge. You can browse what neighbours near you need straight away.
  • Offer to help with a request, or list what you can give regularly, like “a bag of groceries every Friday” or “rides on weekends”.
  • Before your first match, a Guardian Angel confirms your identity on a short video call.
  • Your Angel profile shows how many neighbours you've helped and the thank-yous they leave.
  • Anyone can be an Angel, including people who've asked for help here.

Guardian Angels

Guardian Angels are volunteers who look after one area. They review every request, verify Angels, make every match and stay in the conversation until help arrives. Every Guardian Angel has met someone from the team in person.

What Angel Circle doesn't do

  • Move money. There's no way to send, request or promise money here.
  • Replace emergency or crisis services. If you're not safe, call 911 or text or call 988 in Canada.
  • Check whether you “deserve” help. If you ask, we take you at your word.
